Unattended Operation
Key Benefits
24/7 Automated Weighing and Processing
Keep operations running smoothly around the clock while minimizing congestion and increase productivity with automated processes.
Accurate Vehicle and Customer Identification
Utilize RFID, barcode scanning, license plate recognition, or manual PIN entry for quick and secure identification.
Seamless Integration
Connect with peripheral devices that include but are not limited to: Radio Frequency (RFID) Readers, Proximity Card Readers, Radiation Detectors, Gates, Traffic Lights, Barcode Scanners, Thermal Receipt Printers, Cameras, and Industrial Touch Screen Computers.
Reduce Labor Costs
Lower operational expenses by eliminating the need for manual ticketing and transaction processing while maintaining operational control.
Enhanced Security
Camera and video integration gives the ability to capture images of vehicles, loads, drivers, etc. during entry and exit, providing visual proof while maintaining a detailed history of all transactions.
Hardware
A popular unattended kiosk includes an industrial touchscreen computer, thermal receipt printer, proximity card or RFID reader, and intercom system. You can add on credit card devices and more. Each kiosk is custom built for specific operational requirements with different environments and climate in mind (heater, fan, exhaust, and air conditioner).
How It Works (Example):
1. Driver Identification
The driver will pull onto the scale and the touch screen will display “Waiting for Scan” (or other wording based on your operational requirements). The driver will wave a proximity card in front of the proximity card reader to indicate the start of the transaction.
2. Data Entry and Verification
If additional information is required, the system will prompt the driver to enter data using the touch screen based on the display options.
3. Weight Capture & Transaction Processing
The system will automatically capture the vehicle weight and if a stored tare exists, the transaction is completed, and a ticket is printed for the driver.
4. Outbound Weighing (if required)
If the transaction is not completed at entry, the driver will be required to return to an outbound scale and finalize the transaction either from another unattended kiosk or with assistance from a scale operator.
